Status: EARLY STAGE – SEEKING SITE ALLOCATION IN LOCAL PLAN

We’re excited to share our vision for Penrose Farm, a pioneering agrosocial micro-village located on a fifth-generation family farm nestled between Swanpool and Maenporth beaches. Our goal: a regenerative rural community integrating eco-cohousing, community-supported agriculture, and lifelong care services.

Penrose aims to reconnect people with land, food, and each other — creating homes and livelihoods rooted in sustainability, social care, and shared purpose.

What’s Next?

We are currently working on:

  • Securing site allocation in Cornwall’s new Local Plan to unlock long-term planning certainty.

  • Developing partnerships with ethical funders, landowners, and care providers.

  • Community engagement to co-design housing, care services, and land-use priorities.

  • Business and care planning to establish long-term financial and ecological resilience.

  • Establishing a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model for local food security.es.
